Mr. Singh Mrs. Mehta movie review: Neither infidelity nor sizzling hot scenes are new to Bollywood now. Mr. Singh and Mrs. Mehta seem to just deliver that but the later is delivered with an overdose. Yes I am talking about the sizzling love making scenes. The protagonists Neera and Ashwini are mostly seen either locking lips or making love in most part of the movie.
Dhoka, sex and love - it’s all there strewn in the 2 lugubrious long hours of the unspooling of this tale of adultery and extramarital affairs. Mr. Singh Mrs. Mehta, debutant director Pravesh Bharadwaj’s slow-paced ode to infidelity is strictly for those with penchant and patience for arthouse cinema.
Considering that Bollywood has so few adult films to offer, this one's a rare experience. And the fact that it is dealt with a degree of understatement and maturity, with a great music score (Ustad Shujat Hussain Khan and Sharang Dev) to translate the emotional quotient on to the screen, makes it a decent watch.
